Alberta Government Doesn't Want to Steal Guns

Recently the news has been filled with the jubilant announcement from Tyler Shandro that Alberta would not assist the federal government in the gun grab.  This news has been met with joy and a dangerous amount of complacency from the gun community.  The prevailing thought is Alberta is now a safe haven for gun owners and it is time to break out the ol' M305 for hunting trips again.

This is great news but the battle is far from won.  Naturally, with my background as an analyst, I began to ponder how the government could get past this setback aside from the obvious and draconian measures such as calling in the army.  I asked questions to subject matter experts in policing to help brainstorm what course of action the Trudeau regime can take, now that the RCMP have been closed to them.

But how could they do the gun thefts without the RCMP?

Firstly the RCMP "rental" agreement states that the province can direct the RCMP to not enforce certain laws.  That is true.  But the bulk of our population is not found in RCMP controlled areas; they are in the cities.  Calgary Police have already stated they are in favor of enforcing the ban.  Unlike the RCMP, they have the discretion to cooperate enforcing the Crime Minister's petty ban.  Also, the Calgary Police (and Edmonton and Camrose and so on...) are not police just inside their own municipality, they are considered police officers for all of Alberta.  It is legal for a Calgary Police member to operate in High River or an Edmonton member to operate in Sherwood Park.  It may be frowned upon, but it is legal.  This is a potential work around and with virtue signaling fart suckers like Gondek or Sohi in charge of 2 of the most well equipped, powerful forces in Alberta, the odds don't look good for provincial resistance.  The CN police have the power to operate for any law enforcment purpose provided it is 1km from a rail line.  Most small towns are built around a rail line.

But I am not suggesting that the municipal police forces are going to be used in lieu of the RCMP.  It is likely that misuse of police resources will result in a funding cut from the province.  All I am suggesting is that, although unlikely, it could be a method of last resort.  So what is most likelty?

The government has never relied on mass arrests except for the FLQ crisis.  Instead, they have consistently made an example out of one person.  Usually this is in the form of a highly publicized arrest (to show the public), or in the case of Rodger Kotanko, a barely publicized execution (to quietly terrify the gun owners).  It stands to reason that after 30 years of engaging in this successful tactic, they would not switch it up now.  If they could continue to engage in terror operations against the gun owning public, that same public could be forced into complying while the province overtly is not.

Using the premise of compliance through terror, it is most likely that a series of high profile people will be targeted for charges (or a Kotanko style execution if no crimes can be proven).  In our legal system, any person can go to a courthouse and lay an "information".  This is an accusation that a crime has been committed.  Then a crown prosecutor (who is not under the control of the province) can proceed with charges.  No police are needed to actually lay a charge.  The Communication and Security Establishment (Canada's version of the NSA) routinely spies on Canadians and could quickly determine if someone had a harmless rogue Mini-14 squirreled away and lay that information themselves.

Federal level policing organizations such as the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) exist solely to take guns away. They are also under the command of Ottawa; not any individual province. Right now they concentrate on illegal, smuggled guns...an honorable task... but they could turn their attention to a few good targets for a CBC broadcasted raid at the command of the Trudeau Regime.

Moving forward, we have to expect that terror will be leveled at the gun community.  The dream of mass door to door confiscation may be dead but the insidious evil that is the Trudeau Regime will not simply shrug and give up.  Now is the time to press our advantage.  Contribute to a gun organization of your choice and keep up the fight.

Fury, Disappointment, Sadness.

A mix of emotions today.  The CCFR’s injunction has failed.

Fury

We were our own worst enemy.  I read the decision that was released by the justice.  She said basically there was no loss because we could buy something else.  Or manufacturers could build something else.  This argument presented by the crown was validated by selfish surrender-monkeys in our own industry.  The Neville Chamberlains who gave up the fight and decided to build neutered bolt action AR-15s proved the Liberal’s case for them.  While we all suffer collectively, they are laughing all the way to the bank exploiting this tragedy for their own gain.  I hate them.  I hate them so much.  You can’t rage at the scorpion that stings or the Liberal who steals… that is their nature.  But the betrayal by people who were supposed to be our brothers.  Those who claimed to be with us but were looking out to exploit this tragedy.  I am at a loss for words.

Disappointment

I didn’t expect to win.  I didn’t expect to lose.  But I did expect that, with what was said in court, that the RCMPs rampant re-classifications outside the OIC would be curbed.  I had this tiny bit of faith that despite a legal system that is stacked in favor of tyrants, rapists and thieves that they would be forced to admit this one truth.

Sadness

This is the genocide of our culture as we slip into a dystopian socialist nightmare.  I may be called melodramatic but in every nation that socialism has destroyed, they first came for the guns.  Getting the guns is an uncompromisable, integral part of social engineering.  The trainwreck of poverty that socialism brings is nearly unstoppable now; the plan is going strong and uninterrupted.

AR15 Straight Pull Bolt Actions - Farts and Fairydust

On 1May the long expected ban list was released.  Our prediction had an astounding 90% accuracy.  What was not expected was the overreach that happened next.
The RCMP, in a vengeful and petty fashion, decided to go above and beyond the 1May order in council (OIC) and ban many firearms as AR15 variants despite previous, documented opinions that they were in fact not. They named anything that remotely looked like an AR15 including a bolt action shotgun and a cheap 22 as variants. There was no consideration for action, mechanics or caliber.

Now this is the truth that will outrage people; the new crop of "defeatist" firearms such as the all the straight pull AR15s being released... Are going to be banned.

Don't kid yourself, they banned a BOLT ACTION shotgun because it looked like an AR15. They will ban your bolt action AR15 forgery because .... Wait for it ... It looks like a AR15. And surprise, surprise, unlike the shotgun, these new rifles are legitimately variants using a lot of the same internals and external furniture.

So the people who got kicked in the nuts with the AR15 ban are being tricked into taking a big ol' cock slap by getting stuck with even more banned firearms.

But the trustworthy government promised you a buyback... No risk, right?  Are you foolish enough to believe there will be a buyback? What party will pair with the minority government to vote for that? To give something to a group they distain? They already made the guns illegal... They already won, they don't need to make concessions.

Yes buying these guns is chasing good money after bad.  They could of built these designs to look externally like a SCAR or Tavor (both safe, un-bannable designs) or even did something original but they made the choice to make them look like AR15s in the hope of appealing to anger-blind gun owners for a quick buck.

Put your money into fighting for your real AR15 back or get a new gun; don't piss it away on a fairytale scam hoping to appease your Liberal masters.

Intelligence, Police and Made up Bogymen

I have attended many counter-terrorism conferences when I was part of the Intelligence Branch of the Canadian Army.  The last conference I attended (2013) was fear mongering the Freeman on the Land Movement (FLM).

Although deranged and perhaps a nuisance, the FLM has not killed anyone.  They do not advocate violent overthrow of government or the mass genocide of those who disagree with their point of view.

Yet back in 2013 I saw political correctness entering the intelligence world and, let me tell you, being politically correct is a poison when it comes to clarity and analysis.  We have millions of dollars and thousands of man-hours chasing an annoyance.  With thought processes like that we might as well turn the might of our intelligence apparatus towards shoplifters.

In an attempt to be racially and ideologically inclusive, like some sick affirmative action program, the chase is on for a non-Islamic based bad guy.

A few weeks ago a RCMP officer was tragically killed outside a casino in St Albert by Shawn Rehn.  Someone posed the question:

My heart is broken for the RCMP member. Indeed the question goes out from the RCMP themselves, "How is/WAS the suspect still on the streets"?

My response (as a gun owner):

How was he still on the streets? I don't want to politicize this or diminish the tragedy but this man was on the streets because he is NOT the focus of law enforcement. We are.... you and I. Every day you are checked on a criminal database. You are required to provide your address to the government like you are on house arrest. They can search your home without a warrant - even a criminal has the right not be arbitrarily searched. They can take your property away with the stroke of a pen. He is on the streets because they are busy watching you. Drug dealers, murderers and thieves take second place to social engineering.

So our intelligence community is chasing FLM and our law enforcers are chasing people with a PAL and there are people who think that taking away more of our privacy and freedoms will fix our ills?  We need to turn our efforts towards legitimate bad guys – Jihads, Drug Dealers and Rapists and stop government agencies from wasting their time on political correctness and social engineering.

What is Going on With the Firearms Lab?

Recently I just finished a criminal intelligence course.  The material was not new to me but it put intelligence analysis back into the forefront of my mind.  I started to think analytically about the recent strange behavior coming out of the RCMP firearms lab.

The RCMP approved an AKM (AK47) look alike called the Canadian Sporting rifle.  It looks exactly like an AKM and even takes AK47 magazines in the standard AK47 caliber of 7.62x39 Soviet.  The internals are reported to be different.  This flies in the face of previous RCMP rulings most noteable the .22LR Armi Jager.  It looks like an AK47 but it had different internals, different materials and fired a different caliber all while using a different magazine.  It was classed as prohibited based on looks alone.  This was not an isolated thing; the crappy GSG-5 was also deemed prohibited because it looked exactly like a MP5.  Different materials, different internals, different caliber but its appearance made it prohibited.  The Colt-Umarex .22LR: restricted because of looks.  This sudden departure from what has been the RCMP norm for well over the 8 years I have been involved in the industry suggests something has changed.

- Management.  Last I heard, Bill Etter was still in charge of that gong show so this is unlikely.  Perhaps the techs are cool guys who like guns?
- Money changed hands.  Lets face it, there have been RCMP members caught killing people in jail cells and having sex with underage girls in cars, is it that far fetched to think some bribery took place?
- One of the techs snuck this in because he personally wants an AK.  I know several people who are part of the gun control bureaucracy only because they want to act as agents of positive change;  agents that are secretly on our side.
- Politicians put boots to ass and forced a change.  That is how I forced the RCMP lab to give the S2 the ok.  But the S2 I sent to the lab had no telltale features that looked like any other firearms.

I have had dealing with the lab so I know they are a slow, inefficient and stubborn bureaucracy.  This fact forces me to conclude that this gun went to the RCMP lab anywhere from a year to 6 months ago.

So speaking analytically we have 3 hypothesis.  Now lets looks at some disturbing data.

Recently the RCMP firearms lab has determined that the Sig Special “Sig 550” that the receiver is the same as its select fire counterparts.  This moves the rifle from the category of non-restricted rifle into the prohibited category of “Converted Auto” – a made up Canadian term developed to ban more guns.  Despite having no capability to fire full auto with no full auto fire control parts, it may be deemed an illegal gun.  The RCMP did this with a small batch of VZ58 that mistakenly were sent with a converted auto receiver.  So using deductive reasoning we can eliminate our first hypothesis from the list.

Even though they act like they are above the law, the RCMP must answer to parliament and the Minister of Public Safety.  So what do you get when you force a bureaucrat to do something he does not want to do?  A pissed off petty man who lashes out at those he thinks are beneath him.  The Sig rifle may be a backlash to punish the citizens of Canada for forcing them through the democratic process to allow an AKM variant to hit the market.

Politics should be considered as well.  So I will add it as a fourth Hypothesis.  The RCMP actually lost the GSG-5 case before it went to the appeal court and was overturned.  If the Canadian Sporting Rifle was deemed illegal (as the past pattern suggests) it could be another legal battle.  You see the RCMP are playing a high stakes game, if they deemed it prohibited and lost a court case on the CSR it would force them to re-evaluate and re-classify many of their other prohibited firearms back to non-restricted status.  Their credibility would be forever lost in the courts in regards to firearms and more importantly they would lose positive control over many more guns.  This hypothesis fits the story of the CSR but not that of the Sig Rifle.  Interesting.



Our new list of theories:

1 The firearms lab is taking bribes.
2 A Firearms Lab tech wants his own “AK47”
3 Politicians or put pressure on the RCMP labs with the “Canadian Sporting Rifle.”  The RCMP labs responded to this insult by jumping on the “Ban”-Wagon.
4 The RCMP fear a court case that could shatter them.

This new data does not support theory 1 or 2 but it does not disprove it.  Through inductive reasoning theory 3 is looking more likely.  The introduction of the Sig Rifle data lowers the probability of Theory 4 as this could be a feared court challenge.  But these events may not actually be linked meaning that it could be more then one of these factors after all it is a mistake to assume that decisions and actions are the result of a grand, organized hierarchy.  Sometimes what happens is the result of misunderstood orders, political maneuverings or even insubordination.

News has also surfaced about the RCMP looking long and hard at the Norinco CQ rifle.  This is a copy of the M4.  Unlike most other AR15’s that enter Canada, this one is shipped with a full auto bolt.  There are no other full-auto fire control parts.  Apparently a gunsmith/manufacturer complained about it.  The result of the Norinco investigation will suggest the driving influence behind the RCMP’s actions.

a. If the Norinco M4 comes back as restricted (what it is now) I would guess the lab’s goal is control.  The rifle is part of the gun registry so it is still under the positive control of the RCMP.  They have no interest other then to prevent the loss of more gun registry data.  If the Norinco M4 stays restricted, I predict that the RCMP will work to reclassify as many non-restricted rifles as possible to keep accurate tabs on firearms and their owners.  This action would also be another indicator that Hypothesis 3 is correct and Hypothesis 4 is not.

b. If the Norinco M4 comes back as prohibited, I would guess the lab’s goal is confiscation and starting a spearhead to eventually take other AR15s.  The AR15 is only restricted because of name.  A simple change in the Order in Council would force the AR15 (except for ones with silly short barrels) off the registry and into the land of non-restricted rifles.  With a legitimate reason for an all out ban it would serve the RCMP’s interest to re-classify.  This time they would have a real legal leg to stand on.  This would mean that Hypothesis 4 is most likely correct.

I must conclude that, at this time, I can not definitively say what is going on.  But I rate my hypothesis’ like this:

Hypothesis 1 (The firearms lab is taking bribes.): Unlikely

Despite some serious ego issues and some limited criminal actions, the RCMP is a large organization that for the most part is moral and just.  To bribe the entire lab would be uneconomical considering how small our gun ownership actually is.

Hypothesis 2 (A Firearms Lab tech wants his own “AK47”): Possible

We know that our people are secretly embedded in the gun control structure.  It is highly likely that such a person would love an AK47 but the size of the organization suggests this would be a tough one to sneak past the other lab people. It would depend on his ingenuity and understanding of the bureaucratic function.   I would rate this as only “Possible.”

Hypothesis 3 (Politicians put pressure on the RCMP labs with the “Canadian Sporting Rifle.”): Likely

The RCMP must obey Parliament but dislike doing so.  They managed to dance around my MP for a solid 3 months resisting my attempts to make a lawful living.  When the Long Gun Registry was scrapped the RCMP’s CFOs attempted to punish the people through slow transfer times, a backdoor registry and ridiculous ATT restrictions.  If their petty past is an indicator of the future they are trying to punish the public for demands placed on them through our democratic process.

Hypothesis 4 (Credibility called into question): Highly Likely

The RCMP were on the brink of losing the GSG-5 battle.  A lower court held that the function of a firearm made it a variant.  The appeals court ruled that identical guns are a variant noting the guns in question were advertised as a .22LR version of their prohibited counterparts.  As no literature and/or advertisements make the “AK47” claim for the Canadian Sporting Rifle, the RCMP may feel that the element that got them to win last time, is missing.

In conclusion, we don’t know exactly what is going on, but I suspect things will get very clear in the next year.
